Kind of overkill but I can charge my Prime off my solar trailer. The problem is using solar for a dedicated charger means that when the car is not charging and local storage battery is full there is nowhere for the power to go. Far better to go with a grid tie system to offset home usage whenever the sun is out and charge the car when needed.
